A little over a decade ago Rabbi Yitzchok and Esther Tiechtel established the local branch of Chabad Lubavitch International. Its goal, to create a gateway to enhance the Jewish experience for the Nashville Jewish Community and outlying communities across Middle Tennessee.
For anyone searching to take another step on his or her spiritual journey, Chabad of Nashville offers innovative educational programs in all areas of Jewish life. For the one who feels he or she has no Jewish background at all, we are here to show that in truth every Jew is the rightful heir to a heritage that is immensely rich with purpose and meaning.
Over the past decade, thousands of people have been touched by the work of Chabad of Nashville. After ten years of community activities and programming, we have broken ground for the new Genesis Campus for Jewish Life, that will serve as a base for Chabad’s activities.
Our new center, The Genesis Campus for Jewish Life is being built by Nashville builder Fred Yazdian and will include a social hall, a kosher internet cafe, a Mikvah, youth classrooms, a library, Shabbat guest suites, a sanctuary, offices, a meditation courtyard, and a state of the art commercial kosher kitchen.
Chabad’s Community Awards Dinner, paying tribute to “Community Leaders,” will benefit the Capital Campaign for the Genesis Campus for Jewish Life.
This is a very unique time for Chabad, as we have been fortunate to receive a generous gift from the Ramon and Lemkin families of Genesis Diamonds in the form of one million dollar matching gift. All pledges made by December 31, 2010 and paid by the end of 2013, will be matched dollar for dollar. This is an opportunity not to be missed. To make a gift to this most historic cause, please fill out a pledge card on our website, or you can send your gift to our office at 142 Belle Forest Circle, Nashville, Tennessee 37221.
Chabad of Nashville is run locally by our board of directors and supported solely through the contributions of individuals who value the resources that the organization provides and care about the future of Jewish permanence in Nashville, Tennessee.
