The Chabad Center for Jewish Life will serve as a base of operations for many social service activities, enabling us to reach those in need of special assistance.

Representatives from Chabad regularly visit nursing home residents and hospital patients – offering friendship and conversation along with information about approaching holidays. They also maintain an ongoing contact with Jewish inmates who are incarcerated in numerous correctional facilities in Nashville. In addition, the center’s warm environment provides an ideal setting for confidential counseling, guidance in marriage, as well as referrals to the appropriate drug-abuse prevention and education.

By reaching out to people who may feel forgotten by the community-at-large, we reinforce the fact that at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life, every person can find a home.

The Rabbi’s visit was one of the most uplifting moments during my incarceration. His caring and warmth and the sweet honey cake he brought for the High Holidays made me feel like a new person again. It was a defining moment in my life’s turnaround. When I was down and out, Chabad was there for me.
